Windermere Real Estate / Arlington

I learned this county
from behind a windshield.

Two decades hauling freight through Snohomish and Skagit. Seven years in uniform. Eight years on an Arlington fire engine. I knew these roads, these back lots and these towns long before I ever sold a house on one of them.

What I actually do

Straight answers,
in a business that
rewards the opposite.

I came into real estate in August 2025 after a working life built on showing up early and doing the job right. That is the whole pitch. I answer my own phone, I tell you what I actually think about a house, and I would rather lose a deal than talk you into one.

My corner of the map is north Snohomish County: Arlington, Marysville, Stanwood and the country in between. If a property has a well, a septic system, a shop, an easement or five acres of possibility, I have already spent twenty years driving past it.

01

For sellers

Pricing based on what the market will actually pay, not what you want to hear. Then the work: prep, photography, exposure and a negotiation run by someone who does not flinch.

  • Honest pre-list walk-through
  • What to fix, and what to skip
  • Net proceeds before you sign anything
  • Compensation explained in plain English
02

For buyers

The house you fall in love with is not always the house you should buy. I will point out the water stain, the drainage, the road noise, the thing on the disclosure nobody mentioned.

  • Lender introductions before you shop
  • Realistic offer strategy, not pressure
  • Inspection read in full, with you
  • Someone in your corner at the table
03

Land and acreage

Acreage transactions fail on details city listings never touch. Well flow, septic design, access, zoning, flood mapping along the Stillaguamish. I know which questions to ask first.

  • Well and septic due diligence
  • Legal lots, easements and access
  • Shops, outbuildings and RV parking
  • Multi-generational and compound setups

The short version

Three careers taught me
the same lesson.

Stay calm. Communicate. Do not leave anybody behind in a stressful moment.

I served seven years in the Canadian Armed Forces, three with the Canadian Scottish Infantry and four with the 5th Field Artillery, and left as a Master Bombardier. I drove truck from the age of nineteen, and from 2004 my routes ran through Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Island counties. For almost eight years I was a firefighter and EMT with the Arlington Fire Department.

I moved to Arlington in December 2003 and married Kathy a month later. We raised three kids here. Last year I got my broker license and put all of it to work on the other side of the windshield.
